When I was sorting out all the stuff in the attic a few weeks back, I came across a

picture from a local newspaper of William Rees-Mogg and me from 1979. He came to give out the prizes in our school that year. I don't remember ever reading the text that went with the picture before - or listening to his speech - but he'd clearly made a big deal about the fact that the unions had stopped the Times for a year. I'd forgotten all about that!

(His son looks exactly like him by the way)
