Once pandora's box was opened, the changes and ultimate demise of the game as a fully competitive spectacle was on the cards.

Money and power has created a different game, one where only the few can succeed.

As unlikely as it was, a lot of teams had the chance to win and do well at the top level but not now.

The Premier League exists for a tv and online audience, paying customers at matches are a sideshow tolerated as they add to the visual spectacle.

VR will be next, it will be like being there without the aggro of leaving home. Crowds can be CGId into the stands to create atmosphere without the cost of opening up the ground.

I hate Sky and what it's done to the game... oh and yes, they can all f**k off to another dimension.
