It’s a microcosm of brexit. Get furious, want out because you need to blame someone for any problems you might have, refuse to listen to other points of view, convince yourself that you’re the voice of reason and celebrate giving Johnny Foreigner a good kick up the bottom.

And the hangover is going to be extremely painful.
