It's one of those where it isn't absolutely black and white

But they key is that you always want to be bowling last on a pitch and that means batting first of course... unless the pitch is an absolute nightmare at the start and you think you'll pick up a load of wickets.

It's about weighing up the options and on this pitch, batting first still makes sense.
