OT - Digital tft monitors

Does anyone here have any experience with a digital connection monitor?

I currently have a analog tft monitor with a response time of 25ms and a contrast ratio of 450:1. I am considering buying a digital connection tft monitor with a response time of 8ms and the ratio of 700:1.

Naturally i would have to buy a dvi cable, but would there be a noticeable difference on screen. I use the PC for net and gameplay.
