Match ratings:

Green - 7 - Actually claimed a few crosses tonight, and set up the 2nd goal. Much improved.

Drury - 6 - Was exposed by Huckerby, and beaten in the air too often, but overall was quite solid.

Doherty - 7 - Solid as ever, won plenty of key headers and made some important interceptions particularly in the second half.

Rehman - 6 - Wasn't quite as assured as he was in the Derby, but nevertheless had a decent enough game and played his part in keeping a clean sheet.

Fleming - 5 - Was the weak link in the defence. Shown up for pace on several occasions, and didn't have a lot to offer going forward. Partially excused as he isn't a true right back.

Huckerby - 7 - Rightly given the MOTM accolade. Took his goal well, was unselfish when he set up Earnie's goal. Used his pace to good effect and tracked back well (to his standards).

Hughes - 4 - Did plenty of running, which I think the majority of fans would have overlooked. His passing was poor to say the least though.

Safri - 6 - Very assured in the first half, but began to tire in the second. Think he was still recovering from his knock. Still did his job adequately though.

Johansson - 5 - Showed some good touches but I don't think it's any coincidence that his best performance so far came in the derby when he was played in his proper position.

Thorne - 3 - My GOD. What is he doing in the team? Can only assume that he was played because McKenzie isn't fully fit...

Earnshaw - 6 - Made some intelligent runs, but I don't think the team utilised them well enough. Deserved at least a goal.

Subs:

McVeigh - 6 - Did well for Earnshaw's second, was crying for the ball on the right wing several times, but I think Greeno has got a blinker on that side of the pitch after so long without any width there.

McKenzie - 6 - Good to see him back. Immediately looked more of a threat than Thorne, was unlucky to see his effort come back off the post.

Robinson - 5 - Didn't have much to do but was economic with his passing as we've come to expect.

Overall, not good enough. Probably been a bit generous with some of the ratings, but 3-0 will do nicely.
