As a life long Norwich supporter I was dismayed to hear the chanting at the weekend for the head of the best manager we have had in the last 30 years. It seems all so common place these days for the more illiterate, short sighted of so-called fans to call out for the replacement of the manager after a single season of relatively poor performance.
What we must remember is that if we loom back over the years the actual football heritage of Norwich is not that of Liverpool, Manchester United or even our neighbours Ipswich so why do we think that we can fly high in the Championship let alone have aspirations of Premiership Glory.
Personally I wish a few of us true fans would support the local team of a city; out on a limb both geographically and in terms of football greatness; just for the glory of football even if in our heart of hearts we know that we should never expect anything more than the occasional foray into the premiership before returning to our true status as a fairly good team in the Championship.
