Little puzzled by Taylor claims

Tranmere manager Brian Little admits he is baffled by claims linking defender Ryan Taylor with a move to Premiership club Everton.

Norwich boss Nigel Worthington, an admirer of Taylor, revealed on Tuesday that the Toffeemen were poised to snap up the highly-rated full-back from their Merseyside rivals.

Little admitted there was bound to be interest in the 20-year-old following some sterling performances last season but insisted no deal had been agreed.

"At this moment in time, he is our player," he said. "Nothing has been agreed with anyone.

"I can't see any substance to it. On the back of comments from another manager, we have a young lad who is wondering what is going on.

"I'm surprised to see a manager making comments about a player from another club, particularly when Norwich City have never had contact with us regarding Ryan Taylor," Little added in the Daily Post.
