What's the opinion then? Allegedly from the guy "in the know" Hucks is proving hard to motivate, and he's not pulling his weight. Well I think that's obvious to see on the pitch.
So should he start? Personally I'd leave him out. He's turning into a passenger in far too many games these days, and his day is far too infrequent to be worth the risk of playing with 10 men. Heresey? Maybe. He is a fanstasic player on his day. But his day just doesn't happen very often these days.
I expect everyone to point out our s**te midfield fails to give him the ball, the lack of a right mid means he's double marked etc. But the fact is, he just doesn't look the same player. The fire isn't there anymore. He doesn't have the hunger. I reckon he will retire when his contract expires. He's no Teddy Sheringham, or Paul Merson, who will play for anyone regardless of the money - or maybe I've misjudged the guy?
