I know I'll get the standard response but anyway

Dear Neil,

I am disappointed in the fact that I am required to write to you again to express my grave concerns over the ineptitude of the manager of my beloved football club. You will recall that I raised many issues in my previous e-mail and my feelings have not changed. If anything they have intensified and as a shareholder and season ticket holder I urge the board to make the correct decision and sack Nigel Worthington WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

When I contacted you previously to discuss my concerns it was clear from what you said that the board are still living on past glories. Please take a very close look at where we are now and the reason why we find ourselves in the current predicament. We can't live in the past and Nigel Worthington has now assembled his team and the results are there for all to see - SHOCKING. In 25 years of following the club Home and Away, from a quality perspective we have hit rock bottom.

Another point I raised was about our inability under Nigel Worthington to pass a football and the fact that we have resorted to a team that plays the long ball game (HOOF). You disagreed at the time stating that you thought we are good passing team and didn't play route one football. Well after the past few games you have to accept that we lack the ability to pass a football and with players like Andy Hughes at our club that will never change. Robert Earnshaw requires quality service which on the evidence of today will not be forthcoming.

I sat not too far away from you at Plymouth and as Chief Executive of the club admire you for sitting with the supporters when I assume you had the opportunity to sit in the directors box. However, I believe that you would have heard sufficient moans and groans from supporters in your close proximity to realise that supporters are extremely disgruntled. I understand that you have since joined supporters in the lower barclay on at least 2 occasions and can only hope that you are doing this so that you can obtain a closer understanding of the supporters true feelings.

Today saw the first protest outside the ground since the Chase days which is a clear indication that there are serious problems. I know that the club would prefer these protests not to take place and can easily prevent a recurrence by taking the only option available and sack Nigel Worthington. The season is over as far as promotion or play-offs are concerned and therefore the time is absolutely right to part company with the manager so that the club can regroup and start heading in the right direction again. Failure to act and I feel that the protests will intensify over the coming weeks.

My final point referring to our previous conversation is that when I said that Worthington had taken this club full circle and back to the Hamilton era you said yes but that Hamilton had lost the dressing room. I totally accepted the fact that Hamilton had lost the dressing room but was understandably concerned with the current situation. The problem we have now is that whilst Nigel may not have lost the dressing room (yet) he has lost the faith of a considerable number of supporters and therefore his position has become untenable.

I therefore hope to see a new manager in place in readiness for my arrival at the Kingston Communications Stadium next Saturday.
