I totally agree with that - he was effectively forced out

But he could have chosen to stick it out - after all he did sign an extended contract while we had no midfield - he knew what he was letting himself in for.

But, that's not really the point - he can't claim legendary status on the back of a good half a Prem season and mediocre half fizzy season. He may well end up a West Ham or England legend though ...
