He's miles better than Alan Smith, who is contracted to play reserve football at Man utd for the next 4 seasons. They need a guy to replace Van Nistlerooy. Shame the two 'golden shoe' winners are unavailable - Henry and (wait for it...) Forlan!!!!!

And Arsenal are crying out for a player like him - playing Bergkamp as a target man against Man Utd in FA Cup final just typified what Ashton could be capable of doing if given the chance. He is going to be the greatest striker in England for the next 10 years.
