Its only down the road.
I used to get the bus from Bush Hill Park to Wood Green, then onto Finsbury Park and then a lovely old hop on hop off bus from Finsbury Park to the West End.
From what I remember there was a great cheese shop on the way amongst other delights - some good bars as well...
