You can basically get away with grassing him up for all sorts and it will just "turn out"

you heard him talking about Call of Duty or whatever the latest shooting people computer game is, thus leaving you scott free but a good old chat down the copshop for matey, without coffee and biscuits.

Probably take his laptop and pc too, for 'investigations', outside chance he's been looking at bent-up s**t so might even get done for something.
