There's not a part of football that requires silence or concentration though

Golf when I was growing up, and in the past was a sport where spectators respected the players while they were taking their shots.

It's generally accepted that it's a difficult game and a bit of a head f**k, so quiet is expected and appreciated

In recent times this seems to have gone right out the window in the US, and has become and advantage

For that reason I'll bail on watching it unless it's in Europe

That's just me though. I don't claim to be a golf fan, I'd have watched it if circumstances were different
