They were able to attack at will for the last 15 minutes knowing we had no threat

They were able to attack at will for the first 25 minutes/half an hour because we could not retain possession. Somehow in between those periods we managed to get a foothold in the game and get our noses in front.

They scored goals from basic punts up the pitch that decent centre backs should be able to deal with, not due to carving us open with their fantastic quality. Unfortunately though our manager had selected Bassong and Martin, a partnership I doubt less than 5% of fans who have watched us in the last two seasons would select to play together in our toughest match of the season. The only thing he could have done to make it worse would have been to play Whitaker at right back as well.
