I seem to remember Dad telling me they made the generic Easter egg shells in Norwich, and then shipped them up to the York plant for being packaged into specific confection eggs. Dunno, maybe not, was a long time ago.
He did sometimes bring stuff back from the seconds bit of the works shop. Not very often though, 'cos the folks were very Skimmed Milk, Proper Bread, No Sweets, BBC not ITV, people.
