I think when they closed the Rowntrees factory up Chapelfield was the time I genuinely rea

lised that I'd probably never move back to Norwich. I've mentioned this before loads, but my old man worked in that factory since before I was born up until his retirement. He did over 30 years there.

So I eventually moved away, a little while later they shut the place, and then the first visit back after that, I missed the smell of the chocolate, and a bit of the link to my own history fell away.
