if it even happened.

I'm struggling to see it being at all likely that the Dutch have a hithertoo unsolved death that can now be forensically and causally linked to this bloke, just because he made a vague 'confession' in his book to having pushed someone into a canal at some time somewhere in Amsterdam.

The major hurdles being that, even if you do have a body with incmriminating forensics:

1) who is to say the victim didn't survive the initial incident but fall back in himself or get pushed back in later on by someone else?

2) self-defence.

I'm sure a crim defence lawyer will come up with even more holes in any prosecution.
