Whenever i see Wes standing there about to take a penalty, I just don't fancy him. He never looks like he's about to score if you ask me, and I always wish Holty was still here to bang them in.
So the stat the he's scored 12 of 18 got me wondering whether 66.6% is any good.
Google found this for me.

So Messi slots in 85% and Ronaldo 90%. Pretty good.
And also this.

Unclear what competitions/countries are covered, but circa 80% is some sort of long run top flight conversion average.
So yeah. 66 is a bit rubbish, well below where it should be. But then I guess AN had some sort of process for deciding who would take them, and maybe Wes at 66 is the best we've got?
Maybe Lord Nelson will fancy them. If we can get him on the pitch. Otherwise, guess I'll be watching pelanties through the cracks in my fingers for a bit longer.
