Gratuitous Charity Plug

Lads and Ladies,

So many of you were so generous earlier on in the year I feel bad coming back again, but I'm up to another small thing for charity. As I've lost over eight stone now I'm really refunding my enjoyment of running so have entered my first half marathon next month from Waxham to Yarmouth.

I've set up a just giving page to raise funds for Age UK Norwich. My father in law has suffered various health maladies in the past three and a half months, going from a strong healthy independent pensioner to, frankly, a bit of a shadow of who he was. This has caused endless worry for my wife and her sister, and having to work through the various levels of red tape has been just as stressful as coming to terms with his illnesses.

The only people who've been consistently brilliant in this whole thing are Age UK. They've actually listened and provided information throughout rather than being dismissive, rude and downright insulting at times (I'm looking at you, South Norfolk Council) as we've tried to source the support for him.

I'm not after raising a lot, but if you've got some pennies free, I'd certainly appreciate it. Now all I've got to do is practice running on sand. Ugh.
