Howson is ten times the player further up the pitch. But will he get in ahead of Wessi, Smack my Pritch up, Murph A, Murph B, Brady, Canos? It's a toughie, and we'll have Madeleine back in January as well. Please God Sunderland still want NaeNae.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe, just maybe, it *is* possible to have too many attacking midfielders.

If it's 4-2-3-1 then obviously, Wes starts if fit; one slot is reserved for Mr Murphy (probably swapping for the other Mr Murphy between 65' and 75'); one slot for Brady/Pritchard/Howson. On balance I'd start Brady, thinking Pritch for Wes when he gets tired, Howson for Brady if necessary.

If it's 4-4-1-1 then obviously, Wes starts if fit; wingers are Murphy and Brady, between Canos, Howson and The Other Mr Murphy to come on for any of those and Pritchard for Wes.

He's a quality player but he's been quiet so far this term. Where does Jonny H fit these days?
