Marvellous! I'm running a little scene in my head. Rachmaninov plays quietly from a

wireless in the corner of the room. OG, in his maroon velvet smoking jacket and slippers, takes a sip of whisky (no ice) and, from his winged back chair, notices Mrs OG.

"Mrs OG,"(he says) "You've been a long way away from me. Thank you for coming back".

"I nearly didn't," (she replies) "when I heard you were considering getting maroon velvet slippers too".
