Any nerds on here know anything about Kodi boxes?

I have Kodi installed on my fire stick but it's a RIGHT faff trying to watch anything on there, and most things don't work or take 10 hours to find etc etc.

Are Kodi boxes like this worth investing in? Do they still require constantly having to go onto youtube to watch painful guides as to how to install/update/download stuff?
