I agree yet I also think there's a bigger picture

Freezing someone like that out leaves you with a player out of your side on massive money who you can't move on. Possibly interested clubs will take the piss (a la Lafferty) and you can't s**t him. By keeping him in the side he can a) contribute (backfired in this case!) and b) it gives Norwich in theory a better selling position in terms of asking price.

All a game of chicken anyway - I think the club will be delighted if we can shift him and I think Pritchard is his replacement anyway.
