He needs a belting game in the Cup to play his way into contention. I am starting

to come round to the view that if Naismith does have a release clause it may not be the end of the world if Sunderland come back in for him as it may resolve the attacking midfield situation if the decision is taken out of the manager's hands!

I'm pretty relaxed about whether Naismith stays though either way. He is getting better.
