it's the way of the world i guess we will never know for sure. they can't legalize doping (rightly) for fear of getting sued if athletes start croaking early or popping out deformed kids and humans are crafty buggers especially when large pots of loot are involved so we've got no choice but to live with the reality that not all athletes are clean. it's a bit of a sad state of affairs that we have to rely on personality assessments but can't get hung up on it as the spectacle is still tremendous.
