After years and years of British sporting failure, I love that we have invested in a

System that makes the Australians and the French green with envy. I also love that my five year old daughter wants to learn to high dive, cycle, do the parallel bars and spent the weekend making her little brother do long jump in the garden.
I don't think the Guardian would call the lottery funding to the arts questionable.
Finally, do people really still waiting for the 10 o'clock news to find out what's happening in the world?
