Peter Norman is one of my all-time heroes.

What a brave and much over-looked man. Ostracised in Australia, the USA track team have a 'Peter Norman Day'. If you look, Smith and Carlos are wearing one pair of gloves between them. One of them forgot their pair; they were supposed to wear right-hand gloves each. It was Norman who suggested they share a pair. The badge bit is brilliant. One of my favourite assemblies! There is a quote from Carlos I cannot find at the moment that is a real tear-jerker.
