I have a *little* sympathy for Inverdale here

It wasn't that he said 'person' when he should have said 'man'

He said 'person to win two golds' when he meant 'person to win two singles golds' (male or female).

Neither Williams has won two singles golds - they've won one each and three doubles.

It was an error, however I don't think the majority of people piling in to him here understand the nature of the error.
