Not sure on what the exit of the previous corner was, but she had a really bad line on the entry - far too tight to the right hand side and carrying too much speed. I can only assume that she exited the previous bend carrying too much speed and then ran out of road to correct it.

Although the guttering was awful I don't think the course was specifically at fault - people are prepared to take risks with a win in sight - Kruijswijk in the Giro and Pantano on the descent of the Joux Plane being examples.
