Do you honestly think that she was unprepared for the course? They will have ridden it in practice and done many hard descents before. However, as Chris Boardman said, who does know a thing or two about it, the course was unnecessarily dangerous. She was going for a gold medal, and at that point had a very good chance of getting it. Of course she would take risks.
