Answer below, to try and answer some of your questions about drug testing in cycling. Bottom line - it's way, way ahead of texting in football (though that sadly isn't saying much).

Not to say there aren't still still some problems in cycling - but the authorities are making big efforts to address them. Unlike in football, where basically dopers have a free pass.
