Memory is more important than processor speed

unless you're an ultra-1335 gamer/h4x0r.

For almost all uses, a slower processor but more memory is the right choice, for a fixed budget.

SSD/SATA hybrid is also just as good as all-SSD for most people, though SSD prices have come down a lot so it might not be too spendy to get a big SSD and be done with it.
