He kept his job. Other than two or three other clubs most would have sacked him.
In fairness though he was not adequately backed by the board either.
I'm not saying he should be sacked merely that he is not in a particularly strong position to start kicking off or giving the board ultimatums (young, inexperienced manager just presided over relegation) because he is probably grateful still to have his job.
