Financially, McNally was very successful at Norwich (which I think is very important) and the club certainly prospered during his tenure. However there are quite persistent stories of people refusing to deal with him and the general lack of a proper player recruitment strategy and structure.
There's no denying that Moxey has run prior clubs "as a business" very successfully, which is clearly a good thing. I just hope he knows how to deal with agents and can add to what we've got in terms of player recruitment - it's an area we've not been great at for a while, and whether we go up next term or not it will be a key part of What Happens Next.
Alex Neil has put a decent-seeming structure in place and we've definitely upped our game in terms of buying youth since his arrival, but he can't do it all himself, and the club CEO has a crucial role to play.
