Once we've got our new place sorted I'm planning to stand in the next local elections.

Been saying all my life I was going to do it, and sort of feels like the time is right now.

It's a left wing, fairly insular, perhaps quite racist, ex-mining community, who mostly have a thorough dislike and distrust of anyone with even a slight southern accent.

I might need a wingman.
