The new TV money will go straight to players and agents, in the main, and inflated fees is but one avenue through which this will happen. In today's market I think ?20m is stiff but fair, albeit at the upper end of fair for Brady; doubtless we'll let them talk us down a bit in return for add-ons or what have you, but we should be setting prices like this for players we don't really want to sell but might have to. Everyone has their price after all.

It's a bubble of course - the fees simply can't go on increasing each time around and sooner or later the TV rights will sell for much less, which will be catastrophic to clubs with expensive wage bills locked in to their balance sheets. It's a concern.
