you get a bed, you can either share a two-bunk cabin with a stranger or book one to yourself ('sole occupancy') which is a bit more expensive

for obvious reasons they are for long-distance routes so the only ones in the UK are between London and Scotland ('Caledonian Sleeper') and between London and Cornwall ('Night Riviera') which I assume is what you're after for Truro

I would suggest emailing or phoning First Great Western to book to make sure you get the right type of ticket as it can be a bit confusing. Don't use thetrainline
