So, you admit there are either more incidents or you say the victims are reporting things

they wouldn't have done previously.
Either way, that suggests there's either a) an undercurrent of racism that isn't reported, b) that there are more racist incidents occurring or c) that the victims are exaggerating reports.

Which of those is most likely?

As for your own extensive survey of racism, did you specifically ask those two white men whether they'd experienced more racism? Why would they mention it otherwise?

My own rather less extensive survey of black and brown family and friends has produced very contrasting results
