as opposed to the less 'sophisticated' (i.e. unflattering) version for the average fan.

It's quite common for clubs wearing these new figure hugging shirts to sell two versions (I think the 'as worn by players' version of the Arsenal kit costs about ?100, which is a lot of money to highlight your flab!)
