So we are going to be in the hands of the money men. However; as we've not been "successful" for 50 years it seems those same sponsors are also prepared to accept the status quo. Whoever comes in as manager will be under the same out of date football association hierarchy. Unless there's complete change of philosophy it's a job given with a poison chalice, albeit a very well paid one.
Another point I'd like to throw in the debate is, why don't we have any of our top players plying their trade abroad? Pay? Not good enough? Not adaptable? Too comfortable where they are? The questions are endless and the answers more difficult to provide
