Another thing that doesn't change (IMO)

is our membership of the EU.
The referendum (unlike the last UK-wide one) is not binding on Parliament. You only make a referendum non-binding if you don't intend to be bound by a result you don't like.
Cameron hinted strongly before the referendum that Article 50 would be invoked straight away. Now it's going to be at least 3 months. A lot can happen (hand-wringing about Leave lies etc.) between now and October.
