I think that whichever side loses has to respect democracy but...

whichever side wins also has to recognize and respect that the best part of 20,000,000 people (cross party) voted for the other side and the government need to contemplate why and reflect that in its actions post referendum. In particular, if, as I suspect will be the case, remain sneaks home then Cameron (or whoever succeeds him) has to continue to seek further genuine reform of the EU or we will just end up having another referendum in a few years time.
