I think the lack of a plan B has hurt us a bit in the Group stage

against the weaker teams, a player like Andros Townsend could have made a real difference. He's not really top quality, but, a bit like when we had Huckerby in the Championship, someone so direct that commits players can look like a world beater against lesser opposition.

Now that we should be playing better teams it's less important though. Defensive shape and technical quality will become more important as the tournament progresses.
