Well, it's stopped us talking about economic issues and austerity, hasn't it? Not to mention social mobility and the lack of tax paid by big business. And the manufacturing base in this country, such as it is, being owned by large foreign companies such as Nissan, GM and so on. Now we can blame immigration and create an us and them situation.
