Funny Party political paradoxes. The Tory party is philosophically against immigration

but Tories are capitalists, so they're pro-immigration because it forces down wages and undermines organised labour. The Labour party is philosophically for immigration, but their core constituency is the working class who are suffering from the actual effects of immigration. Rum old muddle, and few politicians are honest enough to admit that.
