indeed. gone are the days of standing up when a lady walks in the room

holding doors open for people. removing your hat when meeting someone, pulling chairs out for guests etc. now its all pushing in front to get on the tube first, barging people out the way in a rush on the pavement, staring at smart phones instead of talking to each other.
