So apparently Croatian fans may have done that to get Croatia disqualified as

they are pissed off with corruption in the Croatian FA and want to sabotage them. That explains the infighting with fans trying to stop it happening and not happy once it happened especially when they almost blew up a steward.

In any case despicable and irresponsible. Fucktards.
