they spend their earnings from washing cars in pubs and shops

that helps create jobs in shops and for bar staff (for instance)

those shops need extra deliveries of stuff to sell, which creates jobs for delivery drivers and warehouse workers

the warehouse workers spend their money in shops and pubs

creating more jobs in shops and for bar staff, who then have money to spend... etc. etc.

(this is hugely simplified btw...)
